Lee’s Lucky Duck Race: You can win $100,000 when 5,000 rubber ducks race in the Indian River Lagoon for charity. The event is organized by the Britney Lee Foundation, honoring two local teens killed in a wrong-way crash in St. Lucie County in 2018.

The Lyric Theatre in Stuart

The Lyric Theatre, built in 1925, hosted its last show on March 12, 2020, as the coronavirus pandemic began to shutter indoor venues, but it’s reopening soon.

Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce

The historic Sunrise Theatre in downtown Fort Pierce, opened in 1923, has been struggling, even before the coronavirus pandemic, but help could be on the way.

Lincoln Theater in Fort Pierce

The Lincoln Theater on Avenue D in Fort Pierce, originally called The Ritz Theatre when it opened in 1937, was renamed in 1957, but closed in the late 1960s.

REG Architects — a Hispanic minority business enterprise in West Palm Beach that specializes in architecture, historic preservation, interior design and community planning — will be responsible for turning the theater into a space for concerts and local and traveling plays. Renderings show murals and a proposed addition to the historic building.

Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach

The Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach’s 2021-22 season opens Oct. 1.
