BRETHREN — When the Labor Day weekend comes in Dickson Township, all eyes will be targeted on the entertaining routines having location with the once-a-year Brethren Times celebration.

The Dickson Township Park will come to lifetime from Sept. 1-3 for 3 times of spouse and children entertaining. Just like other summer time festivals close to Manistee County, Brethren Times is a “homecoming” style celebration.

All the exciting commences on Friday in the park from 8-11 p.m. when DJ Marcus will established the mood for the weekend by acquiring anyone up to dance with the tunes at the Outside Nightclub.

The bulk of the pleasurable for Brethren Days begins early on Saturday with the Superior Bridge Hustle 5K Run/Stroll. Registration starts at 8 a.m. by the Brethren school and the race starts at 9 a.m.

People today not having part in the race or who just want to gas up after it can do so at the pancake breakfast under the gazebo in the park. Food will be served from 9-11 a.m.

The park will also be the locale for the arts and crafts seller from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from noon right up until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Vendors will display a large assortment of products.
